"Engineering--the effective use of power--began to prepare for a new and most significant advance. The term was applied first to the running of engines; then to the designing of engines. Now it begins to be clear that both the scource and the purpose of power is not the engine, but man."--F. Emerson Andrews, "Human Engineering", The North American Review, June 1932
I was recently invited to join in on a proposal for the publicity campaign for a major luxury company, a heritage brand. I have written extensively on Aston Martin and Bugatti, and have done work on other major car company brands with renown "blood lines", works of art that they are. I am also a contributing writer to a well-known fashion magazine on high-tech engineering and design themes.
I believe the sporting life must complement intellectual life and I am proud to be the owner of an Austrian hunting license (2005) and of having been a guest speaker at The New York Yacht Club (2015).
